by the time that you read this article I am hoping that you will have seen some of our funded projects start to come to fruition.
Training area – we have invested heavily in the summer to create a winter grass training area that is suitable for our players to continue training well into the winter months. This programme of investment started with levelling and reseeding the area, in preparation for new energy efficient permanent lighting to be erected. The total cost of this project is a shade under £10,000 and highlights our commitment to the ongoing improvement in the facilities at the club.
Goal Posts – from the end of September we are rolling out a programme of replacing our existing goal posts with new upgraded equipment partially funded by the Football Foundation. The fist of these will be new box goals on wheels for pitch one (wheeled goals will be purchase where available as they allow for the protection of goal mouth areas and are more efficient for mowing). These will be followed by new 21 x 7 youth goals (again wheeled) for pitch 4. We will then upgrade the 7 aside goals as the funding becomes available.
